Julie Doland

Counselor

 

 

Mrs. Doland graduated from Bell City High in 1987, and from McNeese in 1991 with a B.A. degree. She furthered her education with a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling from McNeese in 1994. Mrs. Doland taught second grade here from February, 1992 until this year when she became our counselor. She has been married for thirteen years to Patrick Doland, Jr.  She has two children who attend BCHS; Jennifer  and Trey . She lives in Holmwood.

 

 

Gina Murphy

Counselor/ Option III Teacher

Mrs. Murphy graduated from LaGrange  High School in 1989. She continued her education by attending McNeese State University. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education there in 1993. Still pursuing further education, she continued at McNeese and received her Master's Degree in Counseling/Guidance in 1998. She has been teaching at Bell City High School for fifteen years. These years included three years of kindergarten, nine years of second grade, and this is her third year of counseling. Mrs. Murphy's biggest reason for teaching and counseling is her love of children.

 

 

Teresa Marceaux

Mrs. Marceaux graduated from Iowa High School in 1979 and from McNeese State University in 1990. She has her Master's degree in Language Arts. She taught Adult Education at the Calcasieu Career Center from 1992 to 1995. She then taught Language Arts at the Calcasieu Career Center Alternative School from 1995-2000. She has taught English I, English III, 8th grade Language and Speech her at Bell City since 2000. Now she teaches English III and AP English and for the rest of the day she is the high school core curriculum administrator. Mrs. Marceaux is sponsor of Beta Club, Drama Club and 4-H. She did not originally aspire to be a teacher, but since she found she could not earn a living as a writer since she "lacked the necessary talent" (her words), she found that teaching English was a logical alternative.

 

Beth Armentor

Elementary and Middle School

Mrs. Armentor graduated from Jena High School in 1993.  In college, she majored in  Administration Supervision.  She has been teaching Middle School Math for nine years.  This is her first year as the core curriculum administrator for Pre-K through eighth grades.  Mrs. Armentor is also the proud mother of Kathryn Elizabeth!
